How to keep your brown hair from turning black

In this article, you will learn how to prevent brown hair from turning black.

It sounds like a typical story of a brunette woman. The woman goes to a cosmetics store and buys herself an ordinary hair colour, such as medium brown or dark brown, and you know what the result is? Black. Why? In order to make sure the colour reacts on any type of hair, a mixture like that needs to have a high oxidant content. This causes your hair to be very damaged black instead of brown.

We know that VOONO henna – a natural hair colour – does not contain any oxidants and the result of a brown hair colour is really brown.

How can you get the right brown tone?

Wash your hair with a natural shampoo and dry your hair so it’s damp. Add 70g of VOONO Medium brown and 30g of Dark brown. Pour 50°C water over the herbal mixture and add 1 tablespoon of argan oil. Leave the dye bowl somewhere warm, preferably in a sink with hot water.

Apply the colour and let it react for 45 minutes to 2 hours. Then wash your hair with a shampoo until the water colour is clear (you can also wash your hair with water only). The resulting colour may slightly darken within 3 hours.

The hair will be naturally brown and not black or too dark.
